Comparing Young Learners and Adult Learners

Education enables individuals to open their minds and perceive things in a different way. Also, it majorly affects our understanding of the difference between right and wrong. In this post, I will mention about the differences between young learners and adult learners.

Young learners need to be given a variety of activities and games in the classroom. They love playing, singing because they are young and energetic. For example, using music helps social and personal development, improve imagination and learning. Also, it is necessary to be in charge of the classroom, giving clear instructions and dealing effectively with classroom management. Also, young learners are less motivated. They have no choice, which means that they may lose enthusiasm if they are not interested in what is happening in the classroom. They are impatient, undisciplined and intolerant. Also, young learners are still learning about the world around them.

On the other hand, adult learners focus on learning directly rather than wasting time with playing or singing. Also, unlike young learners, they are independent. They do not need someone to give clear instructions. Also, adults are more likely to be more motivated. Because, they are learning voluntarily and committed to their studies. They, also, tend to be more disciplined and cooperative. Adults have already had a lifetime of experiences and have their own ideas and opinions.

In conclusion, there are differences between young learners and adult learners such as learning ways, autonomies, motivations, disciplines and life experiences.
